Welcome to the Digital Greenroom of The Asylum Players Theatre Company
Born in 2018, from a collective desire to challenge traditional staging, we are a contemporary ensemble dedicated to visceral, thought-provoking storytelling. We specialise in site-specific theatre, immersive performance art, and reimagined classical dramatic literature, transforming unexpected environments into dynamic playing spaces.
Our artistic vision is grounded in rigorous avant-garde methodology. From utilising Viewpoints training for spatial awareness to executing precise Meyerhold biomechanics, our actors treat the stage as a living laboratory. We collaborate closely with visionary directors, set designers, sound designers, and lighting technicians to integrate cutting-edge projection mapping, Foley soundscapes, and expressionistic lighting plots. This fusion of rich dramaturgy and high-production technical theatre ensures every production challenges the traditional proscenium arch boundary.
